You’d think pulling on a pair of jeans would be the simplest thing in the world but it’s actually remarkably easy to get it very, very wrong!

OK so we’ll admit that tie-dye was supposed to be a trend this summer and done well, on a floaty summer dress for example, it can look great. But these jeans look like Fergie’s had a falling out with a painter who took it out on her with some Dulux.

How to get it right:

When looking for fading on jeans go for subtle worn-look denim that will give your jeans a comfy lived in look. A faded strip down the centre of your leg can help to give a slimmer appearance to legs but we’re not talking stripes here, just a hint of paler denim.
