Ed Westwick reckons he's nothing like bad boy Chuck Bass, but wouldn't you be a little bit scared to go over and chat to him?

Ed Westwick may have us swooning on screen, but Chuck Bass hasn't done his social life any good!

Gossip Girl fans are always wary of approaching him in case their get a brooding Chuck Bass death stare, or typically sarcastic response.

He revealed: "I see fans walking towards me, and I can see in their eyes that they're thinking, 'Is he going to be nasty to me?'

He added: "They seem wary, but then they get chatting and they're like, 'Oh, you're nice'. They're used to seeing this nasty side on TV, but that's not the real me."

But is Ed not just a tiny little bit like Chuck in real life? Does he never turn on the Chuck Bass charm to get his own way?

Ed explained: "Chuck's a bad boy, and that's fun to play. But I would never manipulate someone for my own benefit."

Ed will be back on set next month filming the new series of Gossip Girl!  We can't to see what happens when the GG crew go to college!
