Win a great read and a brand new ipod nano ... what more could a girl wish for!

We're really excited by Luisa Plaja's new book Split by a Kiss - so much so that we're giving away an engraved ipod nano to one lucky winner and ten copies of the book to runners up!
Split by a Kiss is all about trying to fit in and the risks we take when we're faced with a dilemma. The story centres around Jo who's just moved to the States with her mum and her new circle of friends at school.
Jo's never been part of the cool crowd, but to her surprise she's welcomed by the IT girls at her college and soon finds herself involved in all sorts of tricky situations - including one with the school hottie Jack.
But soon Jo finds that living up to her new status means giving up too much of her own identity and she's forced into a situation she doesn't want to be in...
If you want a chance of winning a copy of the book, just tell us about your favourite read of all time and you could also be in with a chance of bagging a brand new ipod nano, which will be engraved with your own message!
Split by a Kiss is available to buy from Waterstone's stores or Waterstones.com

My favorite read of all time is Alone On A Wide Wide Sea by Michael Morpurgo. It really was a touching story and was so well written that at times I was crying. I loved how realistic it was and the book was one of those which I couldn't put down even though at times it was so upsetting that I wanted to.

My favourite book has to be noughts and crosses by Malorie Blackman because although I'm not a very keen reader I just couldn't put the book down. I love the way Malorie has included just the right amount of Religion, tragedy and romance in the book and it has worked perfectly. I enjoy the way the novel revolves around the lives of two people, of two different cultural backgrounds, who grow up together and fall in love, a love which they must keep secret from the world.

My favourite read has to be Cool! by Michael Morpurgo. The book really does pull at heart strings. The book shows the love between boy and dog, but sadly the boy - Robbie - gets ran over and ends up in a coma. As he lies there he hears everything going on and desperatly wants to talk back to his family to let them know he is okay, all he can do is take the much missed kisses of his mum and hear his little sister voice. One day while in the coma, his favourite footballer Zola arrives and gives Robbie his football kit and free tickets but even that doesnt wake him, but then one day his against the rules, his dad brings Lucky his dog in to see him, and Lucky licks and kisses Robbie, then Robbie wakes. After Robbie recovers he and Lucky go to the match and Zola stays on the pitch and has a kick about with Robbie and Lucky. The book is truely amazing because it shows you that there is always another chance at life when the worst happens, also it pulls at your heartstrings so much as you feel like your Robbie lay there. Also Michael Morpurgo has writting alot of truely amazing books that are so meaning full.

my fave read would have to be harry potter and the order of the phoenix (5th book) because when i was little i was dyslexsic and couldn'd read so i lisen to the types of the previous books than when the 5th one came out i couldn't find the types so mum bought the book instead. it took me around 6 monthsto read the book on my own and when i didnt i didnt want to spot reading! so i didnt i read every thing i could get my hands on and still do!:) I also love this book because 1) it shows harry with more of a backbone and 2) its shows another side of j.k.rowlings' writing that had yet to be seen ! So all in all i think i love this book because of the fact that it showed a turning point in my reading and a turning point for harry where he is no longer a child but not yet a man. thanks for reading!:)

He wants to start going deep inside what happened to the dog and starts doing his own detective work but his dad gets angry at him and wont let him even though he gets upset and dont understand why hes dad is always angry, but hes mum dies when he was young and he talks to this lady who he knew his mum and started to tell him things and bad things about her so its a really brilliant and interesting read.

My faviourte read would have to be The story of tracy beaker by jaqueline wilson. Yes i no that everyone in the whole world has heard about it. But i think it is great. Its about a girl named tracy who gets put into a care home and she tells all of these great stories about her mum even though none of them are true. She is always getting into mischief aswell which makes the book extra fun. Because extra mischief adds extra boom to the story. Anyway i just want to say that Jaqueline Wilson is a great great great story writier and i bet you the book that some lukcy person is about to win is even better than The story of tracy beaker. Thankyou x

It Would Have To Be Cecilia Aherns Ps I Love You About The Perfect Couple Holly And Gerry Who Every One Is Jelous Of Untill Gerry Gets A Brain Tumor And Dies. He Leaves Holly A Very Emotional Letter Which Made Me Cry (Lol), And A Series Of Envelopes Which Has The Name Of A Month On The Front Of Each One And She Must Open Each Envelope At The Beginning Of Each Month. Each One Contains Instructions Of Something She Must Do And At The End Of Every One It Says Ps I love You.The Final Envelope Containe A Letter Telling Her To Find Someone To Make Her Smile Again. The Book Is Very Well Writen And Made it Very Easy To Help You Feel Hollys Pain And Laugh And Cry Along With Her. I Read This Book Front To Back Lying By The Pool On Holiday In Less Than 2 Hours And Started to Read It Again Straight After. Its Amazing, You Should Read It. It Makes You Realise That You Shouldnt Take People For Granted Because One Day You Could Wake Up And They're Gone, And You Havnt Even Told Them How Much You Love Them Or Told them How Much You Apreciate All They Do For You. Cecelia Ahern Is Amazing Writer And The Way She Writes Acctually Puts You In The Place Of Holly Feeling Her Anger And Pain. The Only Problem Is Its Slightly Rude In Places And Has Bad Language In It. I Reccomend It To Ages 12+. x
