Bullying has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons – here’s your chance to change that

Every day girls – and boys – are bullied for the way they look, for their music taste, for which school they go to… Bullies have an endless number of reasons for picking on others, but none of them justify what they’re doing. Which is why we’re looking for a talented Sugar Scaper to design an eye-popping poster as part of our Sugar/ChildLine Stand Up, Speak Out 2008 campaign.

ChildLine (working with the Anti-Bullying Alliance) and Sugar want to encourage everyone to speak out about bullying. YOUR poster could be what makes someone ask for help or report a bully. It’s easy to enter and the winning poster will be displayed in thousands of schools around the country. We can’t wait to see your amazing designs!
How to enter
1. Design a poster
What would make you stop and think about bullying? We
want you to design a poster that will grab people’s attention,
make bullies rethink their attitude and encourage those affected
by bullying to Stand Up, Speak Out and ask for help.
Be as creative as you like with your poster design, but remember that it:
• Must include the SUSO and ChildLine logos – find them below!
• Must be A4 in size
• Must have words and pictures to stop bullies in their tracks

Your design brilliance will also be rewarded with these amazing prizes:
• £100 cash for you to spend on whatever you want
• A VIP day at top creative agency Saatchi & Saatchi

Two runners-up will land these great prizes:

• The chance to see your design on the pages of Sugar
Last year’s winner was Jessie Lansbury, 15, from Herts, won last year’s competition with this fab entry.

“My poster’s been up in 5,000 schools! Plus my placement at Saatchi & Saatchi was my first step to becoming a designer.”
Rules of entry
The competition is open to residents of GB and Eire only. Employees of Hachette Filipacchi (UK), NSPCC and their families are not eligible to enter. Closing date 25 July 2008. Entries received after this date will be ineligible. Six finalists will be notified by 30 July 2008. The winner will be chosen by 30 August 2008. Entrants may enter as many times as they like. Bullying is sooooo wrong. I could never make someone feel like they're a pile of dirt. It's sooo wrong, I just wish bullies would actually think how they're making other people feel :(
