This summer get ready to be transported to the land of desert plains and jungles, with a safari look that is both fun and stylish.

Ok, so we can't take you on a safari but we can give you a run down on one of the hottest trends for the new season so you can achieve the look in style!

The safari look was hot on the spring/summer catwalk. Top designer Bottega Veneta accessorised the everyday trench with safari glasses, gloves, bag and shoes!

But it's not just the designers that have gone coucou for the congo look , but the highstreet stores are too (phew) it's great fashion that we can afford!

Straw bags are bang on trend - you can't go wrong with this one from Matalan for just £6!

Patterns are also essential to achieve the look, River Island have a huge selection of sunnies but these detailed ones caught our eye.

For safari jewellery we prefer to keep it low key, these feather earrings from Dorothy Perkins and wooden bead necklaces from Topshop would look great teamed with an animal print top, khaki shorts and these amazing leather gladiator sandals from New Look. (below)

If you are in to wearing animal print be careful not to over-do it or you'll end up looking like a confused leopard! Keep the accessories simple or if you are wearing a plain top jazz it up with a bangle like the leopard one we found at Miss Selfridge.
