New girl Bree Buckley has got Nate totally smitten, but will he go back to being the biggest player on the Upper East Side.

Privileged actress Joanna Garcia just can't stop gushing about how much she loved filming her four episodes of Gossip Girl with Chace Crawford - can we detect a crush going on?

Joanna plays Bree Buckley, whose father is a political rival of Nat'es grandfather and the Vanderbilt family.  The pair have a bit of a smooch on the plane back from Nate's summer of travelling with Vanessa, who conveniently came back on her own.

Joanna said: "It was instant chemistry, instant connection, and we built upon that in a really sweet way. The more I'm seeing of the episodes, the more I'm seeing that it's a sweet, pure relationship."

Wow, it sounds like Chace really had an impact on Joanna - lets be honest, snogging him would make us go all mushy too!

Further gushing from Joanna: "I think that Chace sort of brought out a vulnerability in my performance, which was something I wasn't really going for."

But luckily for Nate, Bree isn't another Blair Waldorf and they seem to have a good relationship, despite their family's tension.  Joanna explained: "Bree's very much a loyal, strong girl, and I'm always attracted to play characters like that, especially feeling so passionately about being a role model to young girls in real life. She just surprised me with her strength.

"At the end of the day you really can see just how strongly she feels about Nate."
