Where has he been? What's Headspace? Why has he been filming in LA? Who has he been getting fashion tips from? Find out here...

Phew.... so many questions! So here goes with the hottie Hoult...

Hi Nic! We miss you – what have you been up to?
Well, I’ve just finished a play up in London called The New Boy. It was a really new experience for me and it was a lot of fun. I played a character called Mark who had been at this school for a long time, but wasn’t really a cool kid... he was more of a homework do-er. He’d never had sex either, so is the total opposite to Tony in Skins! But then this new boy started and Mark saw him as an opportunity to improve his social status and there was an undertone that he’s slightly attracted to this new boy and is really confused about his sexuality as he’s quite a homophobic character.

Nic as Mark in New Boy

I’ve never done London theatre before, and as an actor one of the great things is that you can play lots of different actors and do loads of different roles, and I just read this script and thought it was so truthful and funny and that Mark is a character I really liked. He’s a funny dude, I really related to him.

Were there tons of screaming fans at the stage door?
I don’t think that happened! It’s not Equus!

You've also been working with ChildLine and Channel 4 on Headspace. Tell us a bit about it and why you got involved?

It's just a great idea. ChildLine and Channel 4 are giving kids the opportunity to tell other kids about what matters to them in a new online show. It’s a great chance for me to be able help people who are interested in making smart, personal statements and give them the opportunity to work with some really good people and make stuff that they’d like to see.

What kind of show would you love to see being made off the back of Headspace?

Hmm, that’s tough. Maybe a cartoon? I love documentaries too, but there's loads of different ways to get your point across. I just think it's really important to have stuff that is done by young people for young people.

Have you got any advice for those who want their Headspace to be seen?

Just get involved, as this is a real opportunity to get your voice heard and vision out there. As for advice, go for it! Try new ideas, and if that doesn’t work, try something else.I love working in this industry as it means you can help people escape from things, entertain them, and you also get to have a laugh at the same time. It’s all round good fun, so get stuck in!
