These cute critters are the richest on the planet!
Petplan Insurance has launched the Pet Rich List 2009 revealing the worlds top 50 richest pets! Coming in at Number One is Gunther IV, an alsation worth around £224 million!
The pampered pooch inherited the millions from his dad, who orginally inherited it from a crazy old countess. Gunther eats steak and caviar for breakfast and became the proud owner of a rare white truffle after bidding £1050 for it. That is one cool canine.
Coming in second is Kalu the chimp worth about £53 million.
And Oprah Winfrey's dogs (check out one of them below) are set to inherit £30 million from the chat show host.
Some of the wealthy pets like Keiko the whale from Free Willy and Moose the dog who plays Eddie in Fraiser are self-made

Awww, Gunther is adorable! I'd love to own that doggy! £224 million?! Thats mad, thats more than Miley's worth, right? Or maybe not quite! If only my pussy was worth something like that, though, it wouldn't make much difference, I's still love him just as much ;) Lauren xx

I think dat monkey is gorgeous but i also agree with dancingg_s comment : "I don't think it's fair, all of my dogs are rescue dogs who have been treated terrible; had staples in their nose, been chucked out of a car on the motor-way, been kicked and stranded!! While those dogs are eating caviar for breakfast, there are other dogs that are cold, lonely, in pain and even dying!"
